Lincolnton, GA – Entered into rest Friday, February 2, 2018, Mr. James Archie Roland, 67.
Mr. Roland was a native of Augusta. He graduated from Butler High School Class of 1968. He served 10 years in the U.S. Army, including time as a Drill Sergeant. He was a tribal Elder with the Poarch Alabama Creek Indians.
Family members include daughters: Barbara Roland, Kimberly Roland Kicklighter; grandsons: Tyler Roland, Hunter Kicklighter; special friend: Pamela Brown; brother: William Roland (Phyllis) and sister: Faye Trotter. He was predeceased by his parents: Archie and Gladys Roland and his brothers: Thomas Lee Roland and E. Franklin Cape.
A graveside service with Military Honors will be Monday, February 5, 2018 at 1:00 P.M.at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Rev. Tom Kalliokoski officiating.
