Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, March 5, 2015, Mrs. Jo-Ann Matthai Gallagher, 56, loving wife to John C. Gallagher.
Mrs. Gallagher enjoyed the outdoors, especially the beach and mountains, was an excellent cook, and an animal lover. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and sister.
Family members in addition to her husband include her daughters: Katharina J. Gallagher and husband Anthony Bazemore, Destiny M. Gallagher, Jennifer Franklin and husband Mike; siblings: John P. Matthai and wife Mary Corrine, Jean Parker and husband Pete, Michael Matthai, Annette Burke and husband Wade; mother-in-law: Gretchen F. Gallagher; brother-in-law: Kevin C. Gallagher and wife Donna; and a host of other family members. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Waltraud Matthai.
A memorial service will be Sunday, March 8, 2015 at 11:30 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Chaplain Steve Russ officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
