Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, November 17, 2011 at University Hospital, Mrs. Jo Anne Bailey, 76, wife of the late Dr. Robert H. Bailey.
Mrs. Bailey was a native of St. Mary’s, WV and lived for many years in Augusta. She was a wonderful wife and mother, avid gardener, and tireless caregiver. She was a fierce sports fan and loved all things Georgia, Clemson, Braves, and Falcons.
Family members include daughter: Barbara Bailey Warren and husband John; son: Robert H. Bailey, Jr. and wife Scotty; grandchildren: Bailey Warren, Robert Bailey, Alex Bailey, Nikolas Bailey, Cameron Bailey; sister: Esther Lewis; and brother: Tom Varner.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Westover Memorial Park with the Rev. Charles Garland officiating. A memorial tailgate celebration will be held at her home, 755 Aumond Rd., at 1:00 P.M. Wear your favorite game day apparel.
Memorials may be made to the America Cancer Society, 2607 Commons Blvd., Augusta, GA 30909.
