Evans, GA – Entered into rest Friday, October 27, 2017, Joan M. Gibbs, 87, loving wife of the late Bob Gibbs, Sr.
Mrs. Gibbs was a native of Augusta. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Mrs. Gibbs enjoyed participating in dance competitions, traveling and spending time at the lake, spoiling her children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook and world class shopper.
Family members include daughters: Donna Lawson (James), Cindy May (Kelly); son: Robert Gibbs (Deborah); six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be on Monday, October 30, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Baxter Stanley officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Regency Hospice, 2924 Augusta West Parkway, Augusta, GA 30907.
The family will receive friends Monday afternoon one hour prior to the service at
