Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Saturday, July 2, 2022, Mrs. Joanne Johnson Hadden, 81, loving wife of the late Mr. John Hadden, Jr.
Joanne grew up in Gibson, GA. She retired from Belk after 30 years of serving as the office manager. In addition to that, she was the pretty face of Phoenix Printing for many years. Joanne was a member of Big Stevens Creek Baptist Church, where she enjoyed worship, fellowship, and being a part of the choir. Joanne was adored by everyone and will always be remembered for her vivacious spirit and fun-loving personality. She found the most joy in her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren who will always remember their “Jojo” for the incredible and loving woman she was.
Family members include her sons: Jeffery L. Hadden (Roxanne) and the late Joseph L. Hadden; grandchildren: John Wallace Hadden (Logan), Kaitlyn H. Adams (Taylor), the late Blake Hadden, Brent Hadden, and Carter Hadden; great-grandchildren: Avery Hadden, John Hadden, Jefferson Hadden, Peyton Adams, and Lucy Adams; sister: Deborah J. Jackson (Paul); sisters-in-law: Jennie Johnson, Bonnie Johnson, and Louise Johnson; and several nieces and nephews. She is also preceded in death by her parents: Rogers and Agnes Johnson; and siblings: Randolph Johnson, Jamie Johnson, Dennis Johnson and Sarah Jean Smith.
The funeral service will be Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Dr. Will Dyer officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 P.M. at the graveside of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Avera, GA.
