Joe Mabery

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Saturday, October 8, 2022, Joe Vernon Mabery, 85, loving husband of Elenore Mabery.

Joe was a native of Jackson, TN. He served in the Military from 1956 – 1976 and served in the Vietnam War. He retired at Fort Gordon as a Master Sergeant. Joe Worked at E-Z Go for 20 years after his completing military service. He was a member of the Fort Gordon chapter of the retired Military Police Association. In 1975, he helped start Master City Little league and coached from 1975 until 1983. He was the coach for the 1976 All-Star team where they went on to win the first of many state championships for Master City. He loved watching his kids play baseball throughout high school and college. He loved his family and loved spoiling his only grandchild, Hanna.

Family members in addition to his wife include his children: Debra Klima (Jeff), Robert Mabery (Rosanna), John Mabery (Laurie); and grandchild: Hanna. He is preceded in death by his parents: Robert and Lola Maberry.
