Hephzibah, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Doctors Hospital, Mr. Joe Mongold, 92, husband of Shirley Mongold.
Mr. Mongold was a native of Fort Sam Houston, TX before making Augusta his home in 1966. He served in the United States Army for 28 years as a Military Policeman and 21 years with the Civil Service at Ft. Gordon. He was a veteran of WWII, Vietnam and Korea. Mr. Mongold was a member of the VFW, American Legion #205 and the Elk’s Lodge.
Family members in addition to his wife include his sons: Michael J. Mongold and Charles Mongold.
