Mr. John James Ertz, Jr.

Evans, GA – Mr. John James Ertz, Jr., 54, loving husband of Joyce Ertz, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 6, 2024.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Pastor Bryan Cockrell officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home with the service immediately following. Pallbearers will be John Ertz, Sr., Jon Icenhour, Eric Barr, Jay Matthews, Frank Rachels and Jonathan Hyun.

John was a Technical Facility Manager at American Renal Associates since 2004. He always put the Lord and his family first. He loved his family wholeheartedly and was deeply involved in each one of his four girls lives and was devoted to his beautiful wife. John loved spending time at the lake enjoying the sunsets, gardening, studying God’s word, enjoyed sitting around the fire pit with his family, and fishing and canoeing on his pond. He thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors and woodworking with his father.

John is survived by his loving wife: Joyce Ertz; daughters: Olivia Marie, Hannah Faith, Lillian Grace and Emma Claire Ertz; mother: Pamela Ertz and father: John Ertz, Sr.; sister: Jessica Anne Icenhour (Jon) and their sons, Ethan, Connor and Hayden and several nieces and nephews.
