Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Saturday, November 13, 2010, John L. Leonard, Jr., 67.
Mr. Leonard retired from Olin Corporation after 35 years of service. He was a Control Room Operator. In his spare time he loved the beach, dancing, fishing, hunting, gardening and motorsports. He was close to his daughters and was a loving friend, father, and grandfather.
Family members include: daughters: Melissa Leonard and Dena Brown (Patrick) of Augusta, GA, granddaughter: Caitlin Carpenter, sister: Patricia Reese, and aunt: Gloria Jirel Thoren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church with the Rev. Jason Haddox officiating, and the Very Rev. Neal Phelps preaching. Interment will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church, 3321 Wheeler Rd. Augusta, GA 30909 or Trinity Episcopal Church, N. Louisville Street, Harlem, GA 30814.
