John McElmurray Jr.

Augusta, GA - Mr. John S. McElmurray Jr., son of Mary Phillips
McElmurray and the late John Schneider McElmurray Sr. of Hephzibah,
GA. died Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at University Hospital. Other
family members include his daughter, Sarah McElmurray of Atlanta; son,
Henry McElmurray of Augusta; and sister, Mary Margaret (Don) Bagwell
of Cornelia, GA.

John was a native and lifelong resident of Hephzibah, GA. and a
graduate of Augusta State University. During his career as claims
manager for the insurance industry, he served as a liaison between
insurers and physicians whose patients had suffered some form of
physical disability. His work focused on helping these individuals
secure new employment and become productive again. John was a gifted
amateur guitarist, and music was a beloved hobby he shared with
friends all his life.

There will be no family visitation. A private graveside service will
be held at a later date. The family respectfully requests no flowers,
but asks that memorials be made to Hephzibah United Methodist Church,
P.O. Box 65, Hephzibah, GA 30815.
