Augusta, GA - John Olan Overstreet, Jr. entered into rest on January 21, 2018 at his residence. He was the husband of Ann Eve Overstreet for 54 years. He was the son of the late John Olan Overstreet and Jean Carlisle Overstreet.

He was a graduate of the University of Georgia where he was a member of Kappa Alpha Order. He spent his career in the banking services industry in Augusta and Atlanta.

He was past president of the local chapters of the American Red Cross, American Cancer Society, and the March of Dimes. He served on the Board of Governors and was past president of the Augusta Country Club. He also served on the boards of the Downtown Development Authority, Chamber of Commerce of Augusta, University Healthcare Foundation, and Augusta Preparatory Day School. He was a member of Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church where he served as a Deacon, Elder, and Trustee.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons John Olan Overstreet III (Paige) of Atlanta, David Wright Overstreet (Katherine) of Charleston, his brother the Honorable James Carlisle Overstreet (Janet), sister-in-law Helen Eve Christman (Phillip), and grandchildren: John Olan Overstreet IV, William Dallas Overstreet, Hannah Eve Overstreet, and Lucy Wright Overstreet.

A memorial service will be Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church with Dr. Matt Rich officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any gifts be made to the Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church Building Fund at 2261 Walton Way, Augusta, Ga, 30904.
