Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, January 13, 2021, John A. Stone, 85, husband of Helen Reynolds Stone.
A native of Morgantown, Kentucky, Mr. Stone graduated with a doctorate in nuclear chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley. He was a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church. Mr. Stone began his long career with DuPont and retired from Savannah River Site.
In addition to his wife, John is survived by his daughter: Tracye Stone; son: Philip Stone; grandchildren: Victoria Castillo, Marina Castillo, Julia Gammon, Eric Crislip, and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Suzanne Stone.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Westover Memorial Park with The Rev. George Muir officiating.
