John Patterson “Pat” Timmerman, III

John Patterson “Pat” Timmerman, III was born in 1939, to Ione H. and John P. Timmerman of North Augusta, SC. He attended North Augusta High School and graduated college from The University of South Carolina where he was a member of the SAE fraternity. Pat also attended The Banking School of the South at LSU and proudly served as a member of the South Carolina Air National Guard.

Pat had a long career in banking at The Georgia Railroad Bank and Bankers First. He served as Chairman of The Augusta Port Authority, The Augusta Convention and Visitors Bureau, and River Race Augusta. He was a long-standing member of Church of the Good Shepherd and the Augusta Country Club.

Pat loved nothing more than fishing, cooking a good meal and being with his family. His favorite place on earth was his beloved Briarpatch in the low country of South Carolina. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by his family. He is survived by his wife Sandra, son Heath (Rheagan), daughter Paige Balocki (Brian), his grandsons Rhyder and Baylor Timmerman and Brooks and Hutch Balocki, and his sister-in-law Debra Heath.

A service in memory of Pat will be Saturday, September 7, 2024, beginning at 2:00 PM at Church of the Good Shepherd with Rev. Dr. Bunny Simon Williams officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 PM at the Church.
