John Wayne Lambeth
Augusta, GA – John Wayne Lambeth, 51 year old resident of Augusta, GA, passed away October 14, 2014, in Tulsa, OK.
John was born on August 28, 1963 in Decatur GA to parents James David Lambeth and Ferne Navey Lambeth. He graduated from Evans High School in Evans, GA, and received his Bachelors of Business Administration Degree from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA. John also graduated from the Marines Officer Candidate School in Quantico, VA.
He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served in conflicts in Panama, Liberia and the Persian Gulf in Operation Desert Storm. John was honorably discharged from the Marines in 1995 with the rank of Captain. His last employment was as an Account/Service Rep with Dealer Specialties of South Carolina, Inc.
John was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Lambeth. He is survived by his sister, Beth Fuller, who resides with her husband Jim in Grayson Georgia; and, his half-brother, Sean Lambeth from Augusta. Other surviving relatives are his niece, Katie Evon and husband Vince and their three sons, Jared, Colin and Braeden of Monroe GA; and his nephew, Jimmy Fuller and wife Kim, and their son Chase and daughter Elise, also from Monroe, GA.
John’s body was cremated in Tulsa and a memorial service has been scheduled in Augusta, GA on Saturday, November 8, at 2:00 pm. Visitation with the family will be at 1:00 pm. The service is being held at Thomas Poteet & Son funeral home at 214 Davis Road, Augusta, GA.
