Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, April 20, 2014, Mr. Johnnie Russell, 90, husband of the late Dorothy C. Russell.
Mr. Russell was a member of Mann Memorial United Methodist Church. He was a passionate golfer with 13 holes in one. Fishing was also a much loved pass time. Mr. Russell was also a member of IBEW #1579, serving as the second longest member of the union.
Family members include sons: Robbie Russell (Roxanne) of North Augusta, Jerry Russell (Barbara) of Grovetown; grandchildren: Josh (April), Sean, Jessica, Ben (Lindsey), Jesse and Beth (Russell); great grandchildren: Cameron, Parker, Chase, Nalani, and Eva; sisters-in-law: Dot McNair, Mildred Kluge, and Ruby McDaniel; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at Westover Memorial Park with Rev. Herb Sons officiating.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
