Joseph "Joe" Schwartz

Grovetown, GA – Joseph “Joe” Leon Schwartz, 42, entered into Heaven Saturday, February 1, 2025. 

Joe graduated from Harlem High School and attended Augusta Tech. He was an avid reader who enjoyed music and movie trivia. He loved to read and was a huge Star Wars fan that also enjoyed board games and online games. Joe liked to cook and worked in food service for a decade. 

Family members include his parents: Norman and Carolyn Schwartz; brother: Benjamen Schwartz; grandmother: Paula Schwartz; aunts and uncles: Seth and Jean Schwartz and Lisa Schwartz; cousins: Amanda, Nikki, and Heather feline companion: Zoey; and other loving family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Angela C. Barker Schwartz, grandfather, Samuel Schwartz, uncle, Martin Schwartz, and cousin, Alex Schwartz. 

A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 6, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 P.M., at the funeral home.
