AUGUSTA, GA. – Entered into rest Monday, February 15, 2010 at the residence, Mr. Joseph Thomas Unger, 41, husband of Shannon Nay Unger.
Mr. Unger was a native of Ft. Bragg, NC but resided in Evans for the past five years. He was a Mechanical Engineer (Design Engineer) for John Deere. He was a member of Christ The King Lutheran Church and was active in the Adult Bible Study Group and Youth Ministries. Mr. Unger is remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, faithful church member, avid sportsman, and good friend to everyone that knew him.
Family members in addition to his wife include three daughters: Isabelle M. Unger, Tess B. Unger, Hallie R. Unger; son: Jack T. Unger; stepson: Jaron Bock, all of Evans, GA; mother: Virginia Unger of Augusta; and brother: Charles B. Unger of Glendale, CA.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Christ The King Lutheran Church with Pastor David Keener and Pastor Alex Hoffner officiating. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 1105 Furys Lane, Suite D, Augusta, GA 30907.
