Mr. Joseph W. Williams, Jr.
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Saturday, April 17, 2010 at McDuffie Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Williams was a former employee of Pelzer, MAU Temporary Services, a volunteer firefighter for Glascock County. He was known as “Coach Joe” for the Little League team and also co-captain for the Pine Heights Neighborhood Watch. He was a member of Full Gospel Lighthouse Church in Warren County and Bethel Methodist Church in Glascock County.
Family members include: sons: Randy Williams (Michelle), and David Williams of Gibson, Georgia, father: Joseph Williams, Sr., sister: Alice Burkart (Billy) of Augusta, brothers: Richard “Ricky” Williams of Augusta, Franklin Williams (Jane) of Waynesboro, Michael Williams of Augusta, grandchildren: Jason, Chelsea, and Anna, who were the apple of his eye and loved dearly. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his mother: Carolyn L. Williams, he is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be various family members and friends, Honorary Pallbearers will be the Volunteer Fire Department of Glascock County.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. at Thomas Poteet & Son Chapel with Pastor Ralph Kitchens officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Monday, April 19, 2010 from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Thomas Poteet & Son.
