Evans, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, June 30, 2019 at home, Joso "Joe" Curkovic, 70, loving husband of 46 years to Nada Curkovic.
Mr. Curkovic was born and raised in the Zadar region of Croatia. He took a chance by leaving his native country to form a better life in the United States. Mr. Curkovic loved both his countries. He was a simple, hard-working man who enjoyed fixing and building things. Mr. Curkovic was honest and loyal with a great sense of humor. He loved his family deeply and lived his life for them. Mr. Curkovic retired from General Motors after 30 years.
In addition to his wife, family members include: 2 sons: Gene Curkovic (Kate) and Johnny Curkovic (Bobbie Jean); 3 brothers: Slavko Curkovic, Petar Curkovic, and Hrvoje “Harry” Curkovic; 2 sisters: Stosija Buljat and Stanka “Luca” Buljat; 6 grandchildren: Daniella Curkovic, Lucia Curkovic, Joseph Curkovic, Luka Curkovic, Nikola Curkovic, and Jakob Curkovic. He is preceded in death by his parents, Sime and Kata Curkovic, and his sister, Marija “Maša” Sare.
A funeral mass will be held Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 11:30 A.M. at St. Gerard Catholic Church in Lansing, Michigan with Father John Klein, Celebrant. Interment will take place at a later date in Croatia.
