Joyce Bentley Wireman
Augusta, GA - Entered into rest Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at the residence, Joyce Bentley Wireman, 78, wife of the late Roy Wireman, Jr.
Joyce was a native of Lackey, Kentucky, having made Augusta her home for the past 49 years. She was a retired hairdresser, and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. She worked tirelessly and joyfully for the Lord as a former Sunday School teacher, and as the outreach leader for the Pastor’s Sunday School class under Ron Gaynor. Later, she continued outreach and visitation work at Hillcrest under Dr. L. Gordon Robinson. By her help, encouragement and witness, many have come to know the Lord. She loved many, and was loved by many.
Surviving family members include son: Roy L. Wireman, grandson: Roy “Casey” A. Wireman, sisters: Helen Hall, Virginia (Arthur) Bates, Shirley Dennis, brothers: Homer (Lydie), Donald and Charles (Peggy) Bentley, sisters-in-law: Charlene Wireman, Myrtle Bentley, numerous nieces and nephews.
Homegoing services will be held Friday, November 15, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Dr. L. Gordon Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jamie Golden, Rodney Hampton, Herb Ledbetter, Jimmy Smith, David White and Steve Galvin. Honorary pallbearers will be the Ruth Bible Study Class.
