Joyce Dean Burkhart

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Wednesday, January 11, 2022, Joyce Dean Burkhart, 85, loving wife of the late Lloyd E. Burkhart.

Joyce retired from Credit Union Industry after working for many different credit unions, for over 30 years. She loved her family dearly, her world revolved around her girls. She enjoyed being a military wife and loved that it allowed her to travel.

Family members in addition to her late husband include her daughters: Sherry Saxon (Sidney) and Patty Ayers (Nick); grandchildren: Lorina Williams (Steven), Alicia Kight (Jake), Jamie Ayers (Wendy), Harlyn Ayers and Joshua Ayers; nieces: Phyllis Jean Oates and Bonnie Gale Davis; as well as her lifelong friend: Shirley Key.

The funeral service will be held Friday, January 14, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at Thomas Poteet & Son with Dr. Don Prosser officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park.
