Augusta, GA – Mrs. Joyce Redd Lamb, age 82 entered eternal rest on March 17, 2023 surrounded by family.

Joyce was the daughter of late Jesse and Maebelle Redd, she resided most of her life in the McBean area of South Augusta. She was a devoted wife of 63 years to her late husband, Chris Lamb and loving mother to her son, Richard. Joyce was an active participant in several local churches over the years; most recently faithfully attending Oak Grove Baptist Church. She retired from Gracewood State School and Hospital after 30 years of service. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She never met a stranger and her outgoing fun personality and generous nature endeared her to all. By always fiercely being herself, she gave others the confidence to be themselves too. Joyce will be dearly missed by many.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Joyce was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law: Barbara and Gary Witteman; and niece: Jodie Sheridan. Joyce is survived by her son: Richard C. Lamb (Valerie) and siblings: Connie Sheridan (John), Ann Thomas (Perry), Buster Redd (Navada) and many other beloved family members and friends. The family gives special thanks to Mrs. Glenda Torres for her dedication to caring for Joyce for countless hours in her last weeks.

A memorial service will be Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at Oak Grove Baptist Church lead by Pastor Jerry Wilson.
