Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Saturday, April 17, 2021, Mrs. Joyce Clayton Shields, 87, loving wife of 64 years to the late Bill H. Shields.

Joyce was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta. She was a member of the Orchid Society of Aiken and Augusta. She was an avid gardener and will be missed by all who knew her.

Family members include her children: Karen Shields Miller (Donnie), the late Billy Shields (Kim), Angela Shields, David Shields (Cheryl), and the late Dana Shields; grandchildren: Billy Shields, Kristy Miller, Jamie Hample, and Steven McFadden; sisters: the late Barbara Clayton Barnes (James), and Betty Clayton Holland; and brother: Charles Clayton.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. in Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be David Shields, Donnie Miller, Steve McFadden, and Dan Halron.
