Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Friday, January 11, 2013, Juan Manuel Delecuona, MD, age 51, husband of Rebecca Delecuona.
Other family members include his children: Lillian and Russell Delecuona; mother: Isabel F. Delecuona, all of Augusta; father: Manuel Lecuona; uncle: Victoriano Rana and wife Madelina; aunt: Isabel G. Menocal and husband Serafin; cousins: Paola F. Rana, Sharon Strickler, Alexander Rana, Isabel Maans, Mario Menocal, Maria Menocal, and Lourdes Lopez.
Dr. Delecuona was born in Cuba and raised in New York City but has lived in Augusta for the last 18 years. He has practiced as a psychiatrist and neurologist at East Georgia Regional Hospital for a several years. Previously he worked at the VA Medical Center and the Medical College of Georgia.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. at Covenant Presbyterian Church with Rev. Robert Watkins officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
