Augusta, GA – Mrs. Juanita Dantzler, 88, loving wife to the late Hubert C. Dantzler, entered into rest on 7 July, 2015 at the age of 88.
Mrs. Dantzler was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta. She was a deputy sheriff for the Richmond County Sheriff’s Department for over 38 years, retiring at the age of 80. She devoted her life to her family and her work.
Family members include her daughter: Nina Dantzler Lillard and husband Patrick; son: Hubert Clark Dantzler, Jr. and wife Marie; grandchildren: Travis Paul Hayes and wife Cathy, Nichole Lee Hayes, CDR Hubert “Trey” Dantzler, III, US Navy and wife Dana , and Palmer D. Naubauer and husband Jody, Kira Michelle Lillard and husband David Lowland, Elise Lillard Ipock and husband Shane; and 8 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at Brandon Wilde for all their love and care.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 12, 2015 at 4:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son. Burial will be private in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service. Honorary pallbearers will be the Richmond County Sheriff’s Department, Robert Tanner, Nelson Ferguson, David Hargrove Earl Roberts and LeRoy Roberts.
