Judith Grimes Link (January 5, 1931 – September 9, 2024)
We lost a beautiful person.
Anyone who knew Judy will tell you she was the most positive person that they have ever known. She would never speak a negative word against anyone. She always looked at life and found the beauty in both people and in situations. Throughout her life, Judy was an incredibly determined person. If she wanted something, she would work extremely hard to succeed in obtaining her goals. When she was young, she had decided that she wanted to be an ice skater in the Ice Capades. She was determined to achieve this goal, going to high school, practicing her Cello (which she started playing at the age of 3) and taking the bus after school and sometimes even in between classes to her skating lessons. After she graduated, she auditioned and was selected by the Ice Capades. Later in life, she began playing the Cello again by taking classes. The demanding work and the lessons paid off. She was a member of symphonies in both Connecticut and Florida. This is just a sampling of her many personal accomplishments in her life. There are so many more where she has demonstrated her drive to succeed and her love for life. The accomplishment she was the proudest of was her family. She was the loving wife of the late Herbert Christian Link whom she met while still in the Ice Capades and married on the TV’s Bride and Groom show. She was a beloved mother to her four children and their spouses, Debbie Link (Alice Bowen), Cathy Brennan (Tim), Karen Andrews (Robert), and her pre-deceased son, Chris Link. She was a wonderful grandmother to Alex Holland, Ashley Holland (Stephen Mercer), and step-grandson Colin Brennan. She was loved by her great grandson, Parker Hanson. Judy had a very loving relationship with her two sisters, Patricia Vas Dias (Harry) and Caroline Grimes.
Her favorite place in world is where she spent all her summers, Stinson Lake.
As a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Judy will be missed greatly but never forgotten.
