Mr. Judson T. Van Horn, Jr.

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, August 4, 2011, Mr. Judson T. Van Horn, Jr., 91, husband of the late Margaret A. Van Horn.

Mr. Van Horn was a native of Scottdale, PA and resided in Augusta for over 60 years. He was a Veteran of WWII, serving in the Army Air Corp, a member of HUMP Pilots Association CBI, and American Legion Post 205. Mr. Van Horn retired from the City of Augusta where he worked as a Waste Water Treatment Plant Operator.

Family members include daughters: Marjorie Blackwell (Joel), Charlotte Van Horn, Mary Beth Lariscy (Stephen), and Patricia Pressley, all of Augusta; grandchildren: Meredith Winslow, Margaret McClanahan (Clay), Adrian Pressley, Angela Hortenstine (Donald), Dianne Taylor (John), Michael Lariscy (Erin), Christina Cochran (Jake); and 8 great-grandchildren.

A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Rev. Charles Broome officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.

A special thank you to our dear friend Annie Cormier, who helped us take care of our father.

Also, a very special thank you to Dr. Willoughby and the wonderful staff at the VA Hospital on the “Hero’s Pointe” unit.
