Judy H. Johnson

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on October 7, 2022, Mrs. Judy Hunnicutt Johnson, 81, loving wife of 62 years to Mr. Charles Dozier Johnson.

Judy was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. Throughout the years of their marriage, she worked with her husband, playing Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus at the Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad. In Augusta, she worked for 17 years as Office Manager for Bill Bennett State Farm Agency. She was an excellent cook and baker who enjoyed being host to all of her family and friends. Judy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose loved ones knew she had not made a Butterfinger milkshake in 30 years.

Family members in addition to her husband Charles, include her son: Charles Johnson, Jr. (Jenny); grandchildren: Jennifer Elaine Johnson, Timothy William Johnson; stepbrothers: Robert Stevenson (Elaine), Wade Stevenson (Ann); brother-in-law: William Michael Johnson; sister-in-law: Evelyn W. Johnson and many other loving family members. Judy was preceded in death by twin sons: John Gary Johnson and Richard Michael Johnson; parents: Ralph and Margie Hunnicutt and Mabel and Clarence Stevenson; brothers: John Hunnicutt, Jr., David Hunnicutt and William Stevenson.

The funeral service will be held Monday, October 10, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Floyd Harrison and Deacon Scott Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Woodlawn Baptist Church, 4943 Columbia Road, Grovetown, GA 30813.
