Judy Jameson Roberts

Mrs. Judy Carol Jameson Roberts entered into rest on Friday, November 15, 2024. Judy was born in Fernandina Beach, Florida on September 28, 1944 to Julius Colbert Jameson and Maggie Jo (Peggy) Sammon Jameson. Judy graduated from Georgia Southern College where she received a degree in Home Economics and made lifelong friends in Anderson Hall. She retired from a career in Marketing at Georgia Power. 

Judy was an active member of First Baptist Church of Augusta, the Nova Sunday School Class, and the Helping Hands Mission Group where she used her talent for knitting and sewing to support many projects for the homeless and homebound, as well as new parents at First Baptist Church. Judy was exceptionally creative and had a passion for sewing and crafts. She loved traveling with her husband, reading, gardening, Thursday night dinners with her best friends, and spending time with family.

Judy is survived by her husband of 50 years, Melvin Roberts, her son, Steve Roberts (Angie), her grandchildren, Terri Gibbs (Matthew) and Prisila Reilly (Brandon), her great-grandchildren, Parker Gibbs (Moira), Chandler Gibbs, Ansley Gibbs, and Jude Reilly, her brother, Tommy Jameson (Joyce), her nephew, Wade Jameson, and niece, Joy Brown.

The memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. in the Storey Chapel at First Baptist Church of Augusta with Dr. Rodger Murchison officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 A.M., at the church.
