Julian A. Speering
Evans, GA- Entered into rest Friday, March 13, 2009, Mr. Julian Allen Speering, age 78, husband of the late Dorothy LaVerne Speering.
Mr. Speering was a member of Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church, Mary Crook Sunday school class and was a 32nd degree Mason. He also served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.
Family members include sons: Gerald A. Speering and wife Fran of Martinez, Frank Wade Speering of Evans, Russell B. Speering and wife Kimberly of Evans; daughters: Debra A. Stevens and husband James of Martinez, Susan J. Brown and husband David of Martinez, Sheryl A. Champy and husband John of Beech Island, SC, Joan S. Whittler and husband Jeffrey of Lexington, SC; grandchildren: J.D. Stevens, Christopher Stevens, Ashley Stevens, Matthew Stevens, Justin Speering, Samuel Speering, Farris Speering, Joseph Brown, Brian Brown, Laura Brown, Holly Champy, Nicholas Champy, Chadwick Champy, and Sarah Speering; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Annette Albea of Augusta, Leila Speering of Hephzibah. Mr. Speering was preceded in death by his parents: Fred Speering, Sr. and Nellie Mae McFeely Speering; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 16, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. at Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Eddie Bradford and Rev. Bill Snyder officiating. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Internment will be at Westover Memorial Park.
