June B. Eastmead

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Sunday, June 5, 2022, June Brigham Eastmead, 90.
June was born in Girard, GA where she grew up before moving to Augusta where she spent her adult life. She worked at East Central Regional Hospital Gracewood Campus, where she retired as a Dietary Supervisor. June was an avid church goer attending Gracewood Baptist Church and Silvercrest later in life. She was known as being a kindhearted caregiver who loved to do for others and brought a smile to all those around her. June loved her family and her life.
Family members include her son: Donald Eastmead (Debra); grandchildren: Marjie Hadden (Joey); Donald Christopher Eastmead, Jr.; great grandchildren: Michael Lease (Jamie), Ashley Hutchens (Jarrett), Alex Hadden, Savannah Hadden, Morgan Smith (Brandon), C.J. Hadden; great-great grandchild: Alister Lease; brother: Charles Brigham (Janice); and niece: Susan Brigham. June was preceded in death by her parents: Charles and Louise Brigham; sisters: Mitzi Corley and Charlotte Johnikin and nephews: Terry Johnikin and Rusty Johnikin.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 12:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors with Rev. Andy Collins and Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Scott Johnson, Caleb Johnson, Christopher Eastmead, Wayne Collins, Johnny Wicker and Andrew Collins. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
