Jutta J. Smith

Jutta J. Smith, wife of the late MSG Henry B. Smith (U.S. Army retired), entered into her rest on June 13, 2023 at Augusta University Hospital. Their children include Pamela Smith Reynolds, Tiffany Smith German, Rev. Craig S. Smith, and grandson Captain Jacob Karl Reynolds of the U.S. Army.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at 10 AM at St. Michaels Catholic Community at Fort Gordon, GA. Burial will follow at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 2:30pm in Milledgeville, GA. The family will receive friends following the Mass.

Jutta was born and raised in Germany where she met her husband, Henry, a US Army Soldier stationed in Germany. After over a twenty year career in the Army and living many places throughout the U.S. and Germany, they returned to the US and made their home in Augusta. Jutta enjoyed her long walks on Fort Gordon and volunteering with the Gold Star Wives. Her Faith was very important to her and was very active with St. Michaels Church and was a godly woman.
