Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, August 10, 2010, Mrs. Katherine Jones Dixon, 81, wife of the late John Dixon Jr.

Mrs. Dixon was a native of Fitzgerald GA and lived in the Augusta area for life. She retired from Gracewood State School & Hospital. Mrs. Dixon was a member of the Eastern Star, Southside Baptist Church, and Augusta HOG.

Family members include sons: Billy Dixon and wife Sheri of Appling GA, John M. Dixon and wife Helena of Evans GA, sister: Vivian Barrineau and husband Raymond of Beech Island, SC, grandchildren: Brandie Dixon (Dennis Odom), Ryan Dixon, and Allison Dixon (Sean Oliver): several step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 14, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Bentley officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Kenny Barrineau, Kevin Barrineau, Mike Winburn, Burt Winburn, Randy Hayes, Ronnie Hayes, Dennis Odom, and Sean Oliver.
