Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Monday, December 14, 2015, Mrs. Katherine Christine, 83, wife to the late Alexander Richard Christine, Sr.
Katherine was a native of New Castle, Pennsylvania. She was the 9th of 11 children. She is survived by her sister, June Radish of Jamestown, NY. Her mother, Nelle, and father, Arnold, were beloved by her until the end.
Family members include her daughter: Kathleen Christine (Larry) of St. Augustine, FL; sons: Alexander R. Christine, Jr. (Paige) of St. Augustine, FL, Brian S. Christine (Helena) of Birmingham, AL, and Bobby L. Christine (Sheri) of Evans; grandchildren: Sarah Katherine, Maria, Mary, Angelina, Sophia and Peter. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Maureen Sullivan Christine.
Katherine was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Augusta; the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, and the Italian-American Club of the CSRA. She was a beloved wife, doting mother and grandmother, loving sister, aunt, and servant of God.
A funeral Mass will be Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church with Fr. Gerald Ragan celebrant. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Teresa of Avila building fund, 4921 Columbia Road, Grovetown, Georgia 30813.
