Evans, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at Doctors Hospital, Mrs. Katheryn Devine, 96, wife of the late Leo Arthur Devine.
Mrs. Devine was a native of Kankakee, IL and had resided in Columbia County since 2003. She was a homemaker.
Family members include her daughter: Joy Coffman and husband John of Evans; granddaughter: Jill Harpe and husband Ken of Evans, Trisha Coffman of Evans; grandson: Jeff Devine of Champaign, IL; great-grandsons: Michael Coffman and Cameron Price, both of Evans and daughter-in-law: Jacqueline Devine of Kankakee, IL. Mrs. Devine was preceded in death by her parents: Michael and Blanche Dawson Merrigan; son: Leo Devine, Jr.; brother: Wendell Merrigan and special friend: Wilbur Parks.
A Memorial service will be held Thursday, July 9, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Chris Laskey officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to a charity of one’s choice.
