Grovetown, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, February 6, 2011, Mrs. Kathryn Powell Snell, 88, wife of Robert D. Snell.
Mrs. Snell was a native of Kite, GA. and a member of Grovetown United Methodist Church. She retired from Belk’s Department Store and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her interests included reading, cooking, camping and crossword puzzles.
Family members in addition to her husband include daughter, Kathy S. Evans and husband Bill of Grovetown; granddaughter, Katie Evans of Grovetown; and two step-grandchildren: Bill Evans IV and Barbara Ann Hammett of Waynesboro. She was predeceased by her son, Robert L. “Bobby” Snell.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 11, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Brandon Fulmer and Sr. Pastor Eddie Bradford officiating. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Bill Evans IV, Wilson Folk, Brian Snell, Danny Snell, Kenneth B. Snell and Tommy Snell. Honorary pallbearers will be Neal Davis, Charlie Sanderson, Ken Snell, and Randy Snell.
Memorial contributions may be made to Grovetown United Methodist Church, 206 E Robinson Avenue, Grovetown, GA 30813.
