Evans, GA – Entered into rest on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, Kathy Griswold Pate, 70.

Kathy was born in Knoxville, Tennessee and was known as “MeMaw” by her family and friends. She was selfless and took care of others over herself. Memaw enjoyed shopping, loved cooking and traveling to the beach but her favorite time was spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Family members include her daughter: Teresa Secord and son-in-law Monty; grandchildren: Allie Panzella and her husband Dominick and Autumn Secord; great grandchildren: Kennedy and Pierce; her brother: Rock Griswold; sister: Cyndi Terry and several lifelong friends that she considered family. She was preceded in death by husband: Larry Pate and her parents Dusty and Ann Griswold.

The funeral service will be held Friday, August 25, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Bill Harrell officiating. Interment will follow in Abilene Baptist Church Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to your local animal shelter in Kathy’s memory.
