Augusta, GA - Kathy Jo Riley, 59, of Evans, Georgia entered into rest on December 15, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family. She is the beloved wife of Robert Michael “Mike” Riley and was a devoted mother, sister, and “Nana” who adored her family. In addition to her husband, she leaves to cherish her memories; her son, Gary Settles (Jennifer) of Grovetown, GA; daughter, Lindsey Settles (Brandon Mears) of Augusta, GA; siblings, Julia “Judy” Livingston of Mooresville, NC., Mary Ellen Ellison of Augusta, GA., Michael McCullough of Augusta, GA., her grandchildren, Gracie and Forrest Settles of Grovetown, GA., her brothers and sisters in law, Tony and Carol Riley of Belvedere, SC., Mike and Giavonni Gibson of Travelers Rest, SC., her aunt Eloise Philippus Lening of Gonzales, TX., and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Annie “Joan” and Lonnie McCullough; and brothers Roy McCullough and Larry McCullough.

Kathy was born January 12, 1956 in Post, Texas. She retired in July from the Department of Defense as a civilian employee at Fort Gordon, having served 37 years with the Federal Government. She enjoyed reading, traveling, loved the beach and beach music.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Thomas Poteet Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Kalliokoski officiating.
