Evans, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, August 18, 2016, Mrs. Kay Nunamaker Evans, age 73.
Mrs. Evans was a native of Greenville, SC and resident of North Augusta, SC.
She received her undergraduate degree from University of South Carolina in Aiken and her Masters in Speech Pathology from University of South Carolina in Columbia. Mrs. Evans was an active member of First Baptist Church of Augusta and the Grace Girls Sunday School class. She also enjoyed singing in the Sanctuary Choir.
Family members include her husband of 55 years: Alfred Downing Evans; children: Laura Evans and Stephen Evans and wife Karen; grandchildren: Joshua Evans, Abigail Evans and Jared Evans; and many other loving family members. In addition to her parents: Edward Miller Nunamaker and Catherine Durant Nunamaker; she was preceded in death by a brother: Robert E. Nunamaker. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at Camellia Walk for their excellent care.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. at Westover Memorial Park with Dr. Greg DeLoach officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
