Augusta, GA – Mrs. Kaye Owen Mauldin, 83, entered into rest on Wednesday, October 27, 2021. She was the wife of 60 years to the late Harold Mauldin. Surviving family members include her sons: Craig Brian Mauldin (Beth), Barry Ryan Mauldin (Nancy); grandchildren: Kara Worrell (Tim), Brian Mauldin (Destiny), Abby Mauldin, Lee Mauldin (Hannah), Emily Mauldin, Kelsey Mauldin; and great grandson, Trey Worrell; sisters: Arlene Lawhorne and Charlene Weller, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kelly Mauldin, sister, Fay Owen and brother, William Owen.
Kaye is a native of Atlanta, GA. In 1975, she and her husband, Harold, moved to Blythe, and in 1978 founded Truck Parts Specialists of Augusta.
She was a devoted Christian serving in the Richmond County jails for years teaching the Bible. She attended Graceway and a Kay Arthur Bible study for more than 10 years.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with grandsons Brian and Lee Mauldin speaking. A private burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
