Evans, GA – Kenneth Garven Davis, 90, departed from this world into the eternal presence of Jesus Christ his Savior and Lord, Sunday, August 21, 2016.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Revelation 21:4

He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Esther Kinard Davis, children: Harold Michael Davis (Gigi), Glenda Joyce Grotke (Doug), James Perry Davis (Libba), Nancy Davis Wilkes (Nate), brother: Harold Davis (Betty), nine grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.

Kenneth was a proud Navy veteran of WWII and of the Korean Conflict. He was a committed father who showed us how to trust in Jesus, have loyalty and love for his family and how to have faithfulness for the church. He was a faithful and dedicated Sunday School Teacher and Deacon at Woodlawn Baptist Church for 65 years. He was disciplined, intellectual and creative in many trades. Kenneth loved studying God’s word and serving others with his talents and spiritual gifts.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Baptist Church with Rev. Floyd Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in Westover Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to Woodlawn Baptist Church, 4943 Columbia Rd., Grovetown, GA 30813.
