Kenneth Guy Liberty

Kenneth Guy Liberty entered into rest peacefully with his son and daughter by his side Tuesday, November 24, 2020 in Augusta, Ga at the age of 84.
He was preceded in death by 3 brothers and his sister: Earl Liberty, Cliff Liberty, Willy Liberty and Hazel Liberty, and two sons Kenneth Bruce and Kevin G. Liberty.

He is survived by his brother Richard Liberty of Alabama, his son Robert Guy Liberty of Campobello, SC, his daughter Patricia Liberty Cook of Simpsonville, SC and daughter Stephanie Dawn Liberty of Charleston, WV. Lovingly known as “Pops”, he was the proud grandfather to six grandchildren: Robbie Liberty, Julia Liberty, Brittany Mardis, Daniel Lawson Cook, Kelcey Liberty and Kaden Liberty. He had one great grandchild Lucas Mardis.

Ken was a proud retired military veteran who loved, supported, and defended his country by serving in the Marines starting at the young age of 18 and ultimately retiring from the US Army. He was deployed to defend our country in the Korean, Vietnam, and Desert Storm wars. His family and friends appreciated his very regimented, neat, and very organized military traits throughout his life.

Inurnment services will be held Friday, April 30, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. at Fort Jackson National Cemetery.

The family wishes to express deep gratitude to the Physicians and staff Augusta University Medical Center for their wonderful care of our father.
