Kenneth Jordan McCoy

Hephzibah, GA – Entered into rest on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, Mr. Kenneth Jordan McCoy, 91, loving husband of 71 years to Mrs. Dahlia Morgan McCoy.

Kenneth was born in Avera, GA. He was a faithful member of New Horizon Church of God. Kenneth loved his country and was a veteran of the United States Army. He then worked for and after many years retired from Babcock and Wilcox. Kenneth was a loving and devoted family man. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, wood working and especially shooting pool.

Family members in addition to his wife Dahlia, include his son: Romie K. McCoy (Debra) of Dover, FL and daughter: Gail Flowers (the late Bruce) of Swainsboro, GA; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; two foster daughters: Pat Morgan and LeGail Cosnahan and his sister: Gloria Ann Williams. In addition to his parents: Asa and Velma McCoy, Kenneth was preceded in death by his brother: Herman McCoy and son-in-law: Rev. Bruce Flowers.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Andrew P. Flowers and Rev. Steven Pittman officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Kenneth’s grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
