Kevin Tully

March 26, 1959 — May 13, 2023

Kevin Tully

Kevin Tully entered into rest on May 13, 2023 at the age of 64. Kevin is survived by his daughter Natalie Lane Tully, brothers Mark Tully, Michael Tully (Elaine). sister Joanne Ward (Dennis) and multiple nieces and nephews.

Charlotte Bowert Tully and Frank Tully gave birth to Kevin in 1959 in Upstate New York. He was born with the personality of a Labrador; a rugged idealist who never met a stranger and everyone called him friend. His family relocated to Kalamazoo, MI when he entered middle school. It was there that he developed a love of sports, particularly baseball, which eventually earned him a scholarship to Eastern Kentucky University. While in the Blue Grass State he developed many close friendships that would last a lifetime.

Kevin began his professional career in Atlanta in the early 1980s. His work took him to the west coast, Kentucky, Michigan and back to Atlanta just prior to The 1996 Olympics. As sole proprietor of his fixed seating business (SeatMe, LLC) he won multiple bids to provide seating for the equestrian, tennis and diving venues. It was here that ‘The Chairman’ met his ex-wife Kelli. Several years later they relocated to Augusta and started a family.

Kevin Tully was most well known within the performing arts communities and school boards of Augusta and throughout GA & Southwest FL for all of his professional work with theaters like The Imperial, The Ryman, and too many auditoriums at UGA, Emory University, to mention.… He took great pride in his work. The travel and adventures wrote his life’s story and he enriched the lives of many along the way.

Most important to Kevin was his daughter Natalie. She was the light of his life and he traveled with a ‘bragger book’ of her photos at all times. Kevin and his family (daughter Natalie and nephew Christopher Wojtseck) are members of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church. He was a staunch supporter of Aquinas High School sports and academics. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Aquinas High School 1920 Highland Avenue, Augusta, GA 30904.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, May 25th 11am at St Mary on the Hill Catholic Church, Augusta, GA 30904. Friends and family are welcome to gather prior to the mass from 10:15- !1am in the church vestibule.
