Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, May 3, 2012, Mrs. L. Barbara Crosby, 88, wife of the late Henry Lawrence Crosby, Jr.

Mrs. Crosby was a native of Stevens Point, Wisconsin and moved to New York after college to work in the fashion industry. She met her future husband there and they moved to Augusta in 1959. She worked in the Georgian Room at Macy’s and later at Cullum’s Department Store. Mrs. Crosby was an avid golfer and duplicate bridge player. She was a former member of Augusta Country Club, West Lake Country Club and the Symphony Guild. Mrs. Crosby loved and cared for many cats throughout her life. She was a member of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church.

Family members include sons: Timothy Crosby (Tess), Lawrence Crosby (Patricia); daughters: Patricia Stefanowicz (Marek), Barbara Butler (Marc) and 8 grandchildren, sister: Florence Schneck and special friend Ree Pulliam.

A Funeral Mass will be on Monday, May 14, 2012 at 11:00 am at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church with Rev. Scott Winchel celebrant. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Christopher Stefanowicz, Keenan Crosby, Matt and Evan Butler, Harry and Tommy Crosby and Andrew Pulliam.
