Lance Gilbreath
Augusta, GA – Mr. Lance Dean Gilbreath, 32, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018 after a short serious illness at Doctors Hospital.
He is the son of Kent and Suzi Gilbreath of Evans. He was preceded in death by both of his grandfathers, Grover C. Hollowell, Jr. and Roy E. Gilbreath, Jr. He is the grandson of Frances Hollowell Williams and Carolynn Gilbreath. He is survived by uncles Roy E. Gilbreath, III, Clint Gilbreath (Sharon), John Hollowell (Madera), and Charles Hollowell (Robin). He also leaves cousins Jeremy Hollowell (Autumn), Lauren Clemson (Matt), Kelly Housholder (Andrew), Kyle Gilbreath (Wendy), and CJ Gilbreath Tovar (Adan).
Lance was employed in food service and catering. He was also interested in cooking and provided many delicious meals for his family and friends. He enjoyed people, music, and especially his dog, Finley. He took pride in the yards at his home and liked to garden. He enjoyed traveling and he particularly enjoyed yearly family beach vacations. Lance was an avid GA Tech fan attending many games with his folks and “hated the Bulldawgs”. Lance had a way of charming others and generally was able to do things “his” way. He was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church. He was loved by many and his smile and laugh will always be missed.
The funeral service will be Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 12 Noon at St. Mark United Methodist Church. The burial will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 11:00 A.M., at the church.
