Augusta, GA – Mr. Larry Kenneth Connell, entered into rest Monday, June 24, 2013.

Family members include his lifelong caregiver and partner: Gary Arowood; daughters: Pamela Connell Self, Juanita (Winnie) Connell Tuten; grandchildren: Samantha Roberts, Derek Roberts, Alex Roberts, Katy Williams, Amy and Erin Rushton, Shad Tuten; great -grandchildren: Noah Rae Brady, Elliott Lee Brady, and Haley Hill; sister: Jane Booth. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas J. and Margaret Connell; brothers: Tommy Connell, Louie Connell.

Mr. Connell was a lifelong resident of Augusta, Ga. He was a graduate of Aquinas High School. He was former manager and credit manager of Friedman’s Jewelers and owned and operated Tommy’s Market for 12 years, the family business establish by his father Thomas Connell “Mr. Tommy” in 1945. He was a loving and gentle father. His kind hearted soul was generous toward everyone he met. Larry was the best friend anyone could have.


A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 27, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Thomas Poteet & Son with Mr. Andy Chapman officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2607 Commons Blvd., Augusta, GA 30909.
