Lawrence “Larry” R. Kelliher

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, September 4, 2018, Mr. Lawrence “Larry” R. Kelliher, 80, loving husband of 55 years to Dr. Michele Walsh Kelliher.

Larry Kelliher was born in Brooklyn, NY, and graduated from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia with a degree in Physics and later in life pursued a Master’s at Georgetown University, Washington D.C. Over the course of his career, he worked as an Electronics and Weapons Systems Engineer at Hughes Aircraft, General Dynamics, and the Department of the Navy. After retiring from the Department of the Navy, he spent a number of years working for an American contractor in Saudi Arabia.

Larry will be remembered by his family as a loving husband, father, and grandfather, a big-hearted man with a great sense of humor and a generous spirit.

Family members, in addition to his wife, include his son: Thomas Aquinas Kelliher (Suzanne) of Chicago, IL; daughters: Monica Kelliher Wolfram (Joe) of Cherry Hill, NJ, Bernadette Kelliher Hennessy (Paul) of Augusta, GA; eleven grandchildren: John, Keira, and Shaye Kelliher, Joseph, Daniel, and Robert Wolfram, and Charlotte, Jane, Katherine, and Jack Hennessy and Meagan Carr.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at 11:00 A.M., at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church with Fr. Michael Hull, celebrant. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park.
