Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, February 12, 2017, Mr. Lee E. Crews, 75, loving husband of 12 years to Betty Hammett Crews.

Mr. Crews retired after 21 years with the US Army as a SFC. He then began another career with Southern Siding and Window Company, which he recently retired after 25 years as production manager. His greatest passions in life were God, family and country. His hobbies were golf and fishing.

Family members, in addition to his wife, include his children: Ricky Crews, Della Crews-Sykes (Rick), Paul Crews, Johnny Crews and Steve Doolittle (Cassidy); grandchildren: Taylor Crews, Ryan Carter-Crews, Lyndon Crews, Brianna Sykes, Casey Sykes, David “DJ” Sykes, Preston Crews, Lee P. Crews, Nicholas Crews, Kayla Crews, Jake Doolittle, Andy Doolittle, Cody Doolittle and four great grandchildren; brother: Freeman Crews of Lakeland, FL and sister: Betty Jo Blackburn, Bartow, FL.

He is preceded in death by his first wife of 42 years, Norma Ann Crews; parents: Richard and Viola B. Crews; brother: Richard “Dickie” Crews; sisters: Agnes Mansfield and Leola Moates.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 17, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Thomas Poteet and Son with Pastor Greg Glover officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
