Augusta, GA – Mr. Leo Otero, Sr., 86, entered into rest Sunday, January 11, 2015.
Mr. Otero was a mechanic for over 30 years and was a member of Stevens Creek Church. He was a lover of classic cars and enjoyed life. He never met a stranger and was known for his sense of humor and smile. Mr. Otero was a loving and devoted father and grandfather.
Family members include daughters: Gloria Helwig and husband Todd of Oregon, OH, Anita Otero of Oregon, OH, Estela Castenda and husband Mike of Toledo, OH, Teresa Cousino and husband Larry of Perrysburg, OH, Irene Drain and husband Dave of Saint Bernard, LA, Sara Chavez and husband Graviel of Elmore, OH, Crystal Rodriquez and husband Steven of Martinez, GA, Sofia Garcia and husband David of Toledo, OH; son: Leo Otero, Jr. and wife Gladys of Greenville, NC; 29 grandchildren. 49 great grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his grandsons, Manuel Otero and Raphael Pecina, Jr.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Pastor Marty Baker officiating.
